Research Promotion Cell

The Institution promotes research activities among faculty and students to add definite meaning to higher education. As a result of this there are 18 ongoing and one completed Minor Research Projects sponsored by UGC. Many faculties are associated with other universities, educational institutions and academic bodies in research activities. 20 of our faculties have doctoral degree, five of our teachers are recognized guides and more than 60% are involved in active research and extension activities. One of our faculties has received International recognition for the research in the field of medicinal plants. Many of our faculties have excelled in their respective research fields that have resulted in International, National and state level awards, recognitions, publications with high impact factor. Our teachers are also invited as resource persons and Key Note speakers. The institution has extended its research activities to National Level by creating platform to researchers of various streams to share their ideas and findings by conducting 17 UGC sponsored and self financed National Level, State and zonal level seminars, conferences and workshops on various contemporary issues. Students are guided and motivated to engage themselves in research activities. The IQAC funds the student’s projects. A UGC sponsored seven days workshop on “Human Rights and Inclusive growth” conducted by Department of Economics is a landmark in the history of the Institution. Few of our faculties are engaged in serious extension and consultancy activities. One of our faculties is a board member of ‘Sanchaya Nele’ an NGO which works for Human Rights, monitors the atrocities on grass root community women in 28 districts of Karnataka

‘REACH’ - A Platform to Share Knowledge.
Research, Explore, Access, Conceptualize, Holistic

It encourages the researchers of the college to share their research findings. It aims to ingrain research attitude in higher education. In the process it creates opportunity to engage faculty and students in research activities. REACH also establishes a platform to share the findings through presentation and publication and finally it bridges the community and individual through research.
