Government First Grade College at T.Narasipura was established on 27-05-2007 with the good-will Government of Karnataka along with the support of Hon'ble Ministers, Member of Parliment, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), other local leaders and educationists. The town place of T.Narasipura is a prosperous land of active agriculturists and businessmen and is situated on the banks of Kaveri, Kapila and Spatika rivers. The college is a real blessing to the rural and agricultural families and also to the SC/ST population of this border area as it aims to give quality education in BA, B.Com, BBA and B.Sc courses. This college is considered as a boon in this area because the poor, backward and needy ones had to travel long distances to get a degree and had to bear large expenses.
At the outset the college was opened with a meager strength of 195 students and at present consists of 905 students. Its a matter of great pride and pleasure that very soon the college will own a separate independent well equipped building in a land of 1520 Sq Mt. The construction of which is almost on the brink of completion. Tuning with the modern trends and needs, the college has set its unique vision and mission with a list of very meaningful and challenging ives. Provision of multidimensional knowledge and modern infrastructure to the students is the greatest concern and ive of our institution.
In an era of globalization, privatization and liberalization what the youth aspire for today is education which integrates its curriculum with useful skills, values, ethical messages and greater practical ideals. It is expected that the traditional mode of teaching learning process be clubbed with modern utilitarian coaching. The principal and staff of our college is fully prepared to render all these multifaceted services to the students and community as well. The agenda each day here is yielding maximum productivity ‘by shaping the overall personality of pupils, so our ultimate goal is ―Empowering rural youth.
