The VISL and MPM managements had taken the Bhadra College in 1975. In 1976 the college was shifted to the new campus in New Town, Bhadravathi , the VISL was magnanimous in its gesture of donating the entire property worth not less than five crores to the college which was originally meant to house its apprentice training school. The Bhadra College thus was taken over , renamed as Sir.M.Visveswaraya Arts , Commerce and Science College. In the year 1986-87 the science section was shifted to a newly built majestic building at Bommanakatte, a suburban place of Bhadravathi. The atmosphere of the new building is very ideal for educational institution and is away from the city and free from noises. The new building is very spacious , and it consists of well furnished rooms , well equipped laboratory with modern and sophisticated instruments. Separate library building equipped with books of immense value and a good reading environment. A reading room, a separate ladies waiting room , an auditorium , a separate staff room for each department with common staff room for languages and mathematics department , as well as a platform , which enables to hold open-air activities. All these amenities complete the necessary infrastructure of the college. |
