International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21.06.2022, on this occasion a programme was organised in our college by the department of Physical Education in association with NCC, Rovers & Rangers and NSS Units of the college

Objectives for conducting the Programme/Activity/ Event:

 

To encourage staff and the students to take part in the yogic activities.

To create awareness about Yogasanas and pranayama.

To educate the students about the benefits of practicing yoga in everyday life.

 

 

Description of how the Programme/Activity/ Event was conducted:

 

Programme was organised by the department of Physical Education & Sports in association with NSS, NCC and Rovers & Rangers Units of the college, A separate circular was sent about the program to the students and the staff. Information was sent through google form and WhatsApp groups. Banner was made, resource persons were invited from Patanjali Yoga Samiti, RT Nagara, Bengaluru. College Principal Dr. Mohammed Manzoor Nouman presided over the function.

In the function where students and the staff briefed about the significance of yoga and the international day of yoga celebration.

Yoga practical session was conducted as per the yoga day protocol. Series of standing, sitting and lying down exercises were performed by everyone. Different types of pranayamas were also practiced.

After the function, for all the participants breakfast was arranged by the department of physical education and sports.

 

Outcome:

Event was organised successfully.

Staff and students got an opportunity to be part of International day of yoga, All the participants took oath to practice the Yogasanas regularly.
