About the activity: The NATIONAL CADET CORPS is the Indian Military Cadet Corps with its headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. Unity and Discipline is the motto of NCC. The NCC unit of Govt. R. C. College of Commerce and Management, is granted by 3 Karnataka Battalion NCC, coming under Bangalore A Group in the Karnataka and Goa Directorate, Bengaluru. Total strength of the unit is 108 cadets. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The unit is headed by Lt. Dr. Prakash M., Associate NCC Officer and Assistant Professor of Commerce.
Year of establishment: 1962
Objective: The ive of NCC are as under:
- To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
- To Create human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation.
- To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed forces.
Vision and Mission:
Vision: To create awareness among the student community regarding its importance towards nation building.
Mission: To present with a plethora of job opportunities in Armed forces and to motivate the students to take part in Republic Day Camp and Thal Sainik Camps and be a part of Army wing.
