About Us

Government Law College, Ramanagara , came into existence in the year 2007.  Today it has grown exponentially and is providing quality legal education to hundreds of students.The college is ideally located amidst  the prestine iconic Sholey Hills with powerful social capital which acts as a strong support system to the institution and the students. As it is centrally situated, it enjoys the privilege of densely interconnected transportation network.

The college has grown under the guidance of many illustrious principals and is poised to achieve great heights under the leadership of the present principal Dr.Ambedkar N S.The college is blessed with the pool of intellectual talent contributing qualitatively towards the Vision and Mission of the institution. The college adopts learner centric approach through an ideal combination of traditional and innovative teaching pedagogy. The strength of the institution lies in its highly qualified teachers who are actively engaged in research, guidance, publications. The Excellence of the teachers is totally channelized to enhance the academic standards of the students which are reflected in good results. The institution strives continuously through its  various committees and cells   to transform students into valuable citizens of society with all the necessary skills. The college is supported by the friendly support staff.

The policy of the college is to carry out infrastructural developments with an to satisfy the present as well as future requirements of students, teachers and administrative staff with the advancement of science and technology.

The College has sufficient number of classrooms (08) which are well ventilated with adequate seating arrangements. The classrooms are well equipped with conventional as well as advanced teaching aids.

Academic Activities

The college has adequate number of class rooms, library & reading room as per norms to continue with any academic activity.

Skill Development Centre

Our college strives hard for the up-skilling of the students by providing training to the students to improve their communication and soft skills. Skill Development Centre at Government Law College, Ramanagara with 60 seating capacity has following facilities.

Computing Equipment: The college has 08 computers with antivirus software. All the computers are connected with Local Area Network. The College has its own computing facilities to meet the curriculum needs. Desktop Computers are also provided in College library.

ICT as a Learning Resource:Two classrooms are provided with LCD projectors. Internet is provided for all computers with 100 Mbps bandwidth.

Smart Classrooms: The College has a fully equipped two Smart Classroom.

Moot Court Hall is made with an ive to give actual thrill of live Court hall to the students.

Legal Aid Centre is established for giving legal aid & advice to the needy one.

Research Centre: Government Law College, Ramanagara  has applied for Research centre which is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. There is a separate building for Post Graduate Centre and a separate library which has adequate books for research for students who pursue Post graduation.

A separate Ramp for Handicapped and Seniors faculty members is available.

The institution strongly believes that if the faculty and students are involved in diversified learning processes, the foundation would become stronger at the formative stages. With such an intention, the above facilities are provided.

Co-curricular activities (Auditorium, Seminar/Conference Hall etc.)

The college has 01 Conference Halls,  which has 200 seating capacity & Moot-Court Hall to conduct seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences and to meet the requirements of  Co-curricular activities..

General Facilities:

Hostel Facility: The Government of Karnataka has established hostel for OBC students and SC/ST students free of cost which is very nearby to college. On an average 85                            students from the college have availed hostel facilities during the assessment period.

NSS Unit- NSS office with respective infrastructure for a unit of 30 NSS students.

Canteen Facility:

There are two local canteen where healthy home made food are available for a very reasonable price at a distance of 100 mtrs from college campus.
