The Government of Karnataka started Government First Grade College in Mudhol during the academic year 2007-08 vide order number GO No: ED/66/(UNK)/2007 dated 27.04.2007. At the beginning the college is affiliated to Karnataka University Dharwad, but now it is affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belagavi.
It comes under the Jurisdiction of Dharwad Regional Joint Director Office. Our College is offering quality education for students of Arts, Commerce, Science, Social Work & Business Administration Courses. At the inceptions college opened in Government Primary School, at that time only BA & BBA Courses were functioning. Later on B.Sc & B.Com courses started in 2010 & at the same time college shifted to its own building at Budni road Mudhol and introduced Bachelor of Social Work course in the year 2015-16. The college campus has 3 acres 1 gunta land. It is marching towards excellence under the guidance of the principal with a team of qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff.
The college has grown in strength from a meager 149 students in the year 2007-08 to 610 for the academic year 2021-22. It has 5 regular teaching staff, 03 non-teaching staff and 18 guest faculties.
