Maharani’s Science College for Women,Bangalore,Established in 1938 by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore ,it is situated as a prominent landmark in the city. It is a premier Institution ,imparting quality science Education to girl students for 77 years. The college is governed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Department of Collegiate Education , Government of Karnataka . The college is recognised by UGC 2(f) and 12 (B) for both UG and PG studies ,Reaccredited ‘A’ grade with a Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) of 3.04 by National Assessment and Accrediation Council (NAAC), UGC has recognised Maharani’s Science College for Women, Bangalore as a College with Potential for Excelllence (CPE) for the colleges in continuing where teaching and research are of high quality and achieved better standard of teaching. The College provides a platform for extra curricular and co-corricular activities for the students. Improvement of teaching learning is also provided through Funds for Improvement in Infrastructure for Science and Technology (FIST) by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) In addition our Postgraduate Studies has been recognised as Research Centre from Bangalore University |
