As per the verdict of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, it is mandatory to constitute an anti ragging committee in all the academic institutions to prevent any sort of physical or emotional abuse in the college premises and provide a secured atmosphere. In view of that, the Government First Grade College, Malleshwaram, Bangalore entrusted the discipline committee to remain highly vigilant to avoid such untoward incidents in the college campus.

STATUTES
- The committee remains wide-awake during the college hours to avoid all sorts of untoward incidents in the campus and provide a stimulating academic atmosphere.

If any unpleasant incident encountered, the student is counseled at the committee level. If persists, college level punishment may be initiated. If the student goes aggressive and the situation goes uncontrollable, legal action may be initiated.

In case of any ragging incidents occurred during college hours in the premises, the abuser may be handed over to the police custody for legal procedure.
ABOUT ANTI-RAGGING CELL
The Functions of Anti Ragging Squad will be to keep a vigil and stop the incidences of Ragging.
If any, happening or reported in the places of Student aggregation including, Classrooms, Canteens, Buses, Grounds, Hostels etc. ... they shall stop.
They shall work in Consonance and Guidance of Anti Ragging Committee
Ragging is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, andshall also be liable to a fine which
may extend to Rs. 10,000 under section 4 of the Act
In India, ragging is banned in all campuses. Such acts are punishable by fines of up to Rs. 50,000, jail terms ranging from six months to
10 years, and awarding of certificates that “the student had indulged in ragging” which can adversely affect career prospects.”
