| The Government First Grade College for Women, Madikeri, was established in the year 2013 with the ive of providing quality higher education to women residing in Madikeri. The college was established by government order ED-123-DCE 2013 dated: 31-08-2013 and the initiative taken by the college development chairperson sri Appachu Rajan. The college building was provided by youth services department.The primary ive at GFGCWM is to cater to socially and economically backward students and empowerment of women.
