U G Courses

Eligibility for U.G Courses

Students who have passed their PUC examination conducted by Karnataka Pre-University Board or any Equivalent examination are eligible for admission. Students who have migrated from other University jurisdiction need to pay eligibility fee at the time of admission. Students from other states have to produce migration certificate during Admissions. All Admissions are provisional until approved by Bangalore University.

Mode of Admission for U.G Courses

Eligible Candidates Should submit the duly filled in applications before the last date as notified on the College Notice Board. Copies of the necessary documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should accompany the application. The Selection list will be notified based on the rules of Merit and roaster as prescribed by the Government and the University. Students should attach the caste certificates wherever necessary to claim reservation under different categories. The prescribed fee should be paid within the notified date after the formal admission. Request regarding change of combination will not be entertained after admission. Original Marks Card, Caste Cerificate and TC should be produced at the time of admission for verification.

  1. Attested copies of PUC Marks Card
  2. Attested copy of SSLC Marks Card
  3. Attested copy of Caste/Income Certificate(To claim Reservation)
Documents to be produced at the time of admission :
  1. Original PUC Marks Card
  2. Original TC or TC memo
  3. Original Character Certificate
  4. 3 Passport size photographs
  5. Caste/Income Certificate (To claim fee concession / Reservation)
  6. Migration Certificate in case of students coming from other University Jurisdiction.
Note :
Candidates are advised to make sufficient photocopies of all original Certificates ( Marks, TC, SC, CC, Caste and Income ) as they will not be returned to them till their admission is approved by the University.
75% Attedance is compulsory for all students, 15% shortage will be condoned in case of NCC, Sports and NSS students after due certification from Unit Heads.
The Government of Karnataka and Department of Collegiate Education have exempted the girl students from paying the tution fee in Government Colleges. Hence the students are required to pay the other fee as notified.

UG ( BA, B.Com & BBM )

The College is affiliated to Bangalore University and offers B.A, B.COM and BBM Courses.

The three year course is offered in 6 semesters. Students can choose either English or Kannada as medium of Instruction for B.A, whereas B.COM and BBM are offered only in English Medium, Constitution of India, Environmental Science and Computer Fundamentals are the compulsary papers for all students in different semesters.

Part I: Students have to choose one language from Kannada, Hindi, Telegu , Tamil, Sanskrit and Urdu along with English.

Note for BBM Students:
  1. BBM students must wear the prescribed uniform twice a week and as and when instructed by the college.
  2. It is mandatory for all BBM students to prepare a project report after the completion of the project.
  3. Viva-voce exam will be conducted by the Bangalore University.
  4. The Industrial visit is compulsary.
  5. Campus recruitment will be provided.
Keeping in view the growing demand for admissions and infrastructural facilities of the college, the college may be bifurcated into Maharani's Arts College and Maharani's Commerce & Management College for Women from the academic year 2008-09.
