Government First Grade College K.R.Sagara
The Government first Grade College Krishnarajasagara was stared in 2007. at present the college is function into its 12th year.
With an intention to prioritise higher education in its agenda the government of Karnataka started 127 new degree colleges at hobli level in the year 2007.
The village Krishnarajasagara is 18km away from mysore, even though the village history cannot be trace back to ancient times, it comes to prominence and enjoys a district recognition on the world map by the contribution of two stalwarts:KrishnarajawodeyarIV and Sir. M. Vishveshwaraiah.
The Resorvoir popularly called as KRS Dam was built in the village across the river cauvery which flows towards Srirangapatna. The Resorvoir has the water storage capacity of 124 feet. Brindavan garden was developed adjacent to dam adding to another major tourist attraction.
The degree collge started in 2007 had B.A and BBM courses initially, the college functioned in the government lower primary school situated near the Aralikatte circle, it moved to its independent building in 2015 which is in same campus where Govt. P.U. College has six classrooms (Lecture halls), a library,Staff room, office, Principal office and audio visual hall both students and staff have wash rooms for male and female.
There are 10 full time permanent faculties, 6 guest lectures, one office superintendent and one D group staff.In the absence of a principal, Dr. Hamsaveni.S as the principal incharge and discharging the Responsibilities.
As the College isin a village region, most of the students come from nearby villages in addition to it , the college suffers low admission as students pursue education after PU in Mysore and Srirangapatna Colleges.
