Government First Grade College, Koppa, Maddur Taluk was established in the year 2003 with intention of imparting knowledge of higher education to the downtrodden students of Koppa Hobli. At present the college is catering to the needs of students at BA level with HEP, HES and HEK combination and B.com. Government First Grade College in Koppa situated at a Hobli level, Koppa Hobli is a land of many traditional and agricultural activities contributing directly to the economy of our country. Koppa is surrounded by rich verdure of paddy and sugarcane crops. Sugarcane grown in these parts is the main input for NSL Sugar factory which is located 3 kms away from Koppa on the way to Maddur. It is situated in Mandya district of Karnataka.
GFGC caters to the educational and academic needs of the students coming mainly from agricultural families and that too from interior of rural areas.Since its inception the college has been striving towards the betterment of the young stakeholders making them accessible to higher education.It is successful in equipping the students with the required skills in achieving excellence and help them realize their dreams into reality
