About Us

Government First Grade College, Kadugudi, Bangalore-67, is an Education Institution located in the Semi-Urban part of the city of Bangalore. The college got affiliated to Bangalore University during the Academic Year 2009-10. The college has started with 03 basic Under Graduate courses BA, B.Com, and BBM with various combinations. In the year 2010-11 the college started B.Sc course with PMCS and PCM combinations. Since inception college is striving to develop and mould the careers of different classes of students who mostly belong to SC/ST/OBC and lower economic class of the society.  The College, with its missionary zeal, aims at providing to rural students education par excellence while underlining set of norms, values, and beliefs augmenting meaningful student involvement; with a clear emphasis on both curricular and extra-curricular focus contextualizing teaching-learning in rural college with a sense of social responsibility.

            Bangalore University got trifurcated as per the plan of Government of Karnataka and now the College is affiliated to Bangalore North University. Again the college is running courses both in CBCS system and NEP (NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY) System. Under CBCS system the college has Final Year courses and First, Second Year students are under NEP Syllabus. Both NEP and CBCS syllabus is prescribed by Bangalore North University. College caters to the lowest strata of the society and almost all students are first time learners. This is considered to be the most challenging aspect of the college and therefore, both Vision and Mission statements are set envisaging this aspect of the students. The college also provides extension activities, community services in an academic environment. Parental and public acceptance is been considered as immense support for the functioning of the college.

The institution is equipped with diligent and vibrant teaching staff who could deliver the set vision and mission statements. The institution intends to create employable graduates with major emphasis on character moulding. The admission is more consistent over the years and process of admission is more transparent happens on a system created by the Government of Karnataka. Reservation is done according to the norms issued by the concerned Government.

The faculty provide quality teaching and are adept with the usage of ICT and has substantially contributed to the development of Karnataka Learning Management System: an online learning platform for students.
