Welcome to the GOVERNMENT FIRST GRADE COLLEGE, JAVAGAL
 

Govt first grade college Javagal is established in the year 1991. It is situated in Javagal town, Arasikere Taluk, Hassan district in the southern state of Karnataka. The Lakshminarasimha temple at Javagal is  an example of mid-13th century Hoysala architecture. It is located about 12km from Halebidu capital of Hoysala Empire. Qalandar Baba Auliya Dargha is also famous in this city. 

 The college has been promoting the cause of value based higher education to rural students since 1991. The college has got the recognition of 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC act, 1956 on 15th march 2016. 

The college is affiliated to University of Mysore and offers under graduate courses in different subjects. The college has also adapted the University‚Äôs Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) scheme from 2018 onwards.  College has an enriched library with latest books, journals in Humanities and Commerce subjects. The college has been running in its own building with advanced modern computer lab, auditorium with ICT facilities.

College helps students to realize their goals and achieve them effectively with experienced and dedicated teachers. Apart from this the convenient location, spacious classrooms, healthy teaching-learning environment and various college committees managed by the staff members have assisted in developing the right temperament of the students. The student developed in such an inspiring climate has every prospect of becoming a responsible and matured citizen of the nation who will climb the ladder of success.  The strong community involvement and a commitment to community services through National Service Scheme (NSS), The Bharat Scout and Guides, Youth Red Cross, Cultural department, literary and value added programs and achievements in humanities provide each of our students with an avenue for personal growth. Many of our students have been successful in bagging Taluk level prizes in academic achievements.
