Admission step 4- Fee Payment About Us The Government First Grade College Hanagodu, established in the year 2007 is situated in a rural backdrop. It is 18 kms away from the town of Hunsur and enjoys a close proximity to the National Park of Nagarahole. The vision of the institution is to provide value and quality based higher education to the rural students. The stress is on enabling the students to overcome the barriers and to make them join the mainstream society. The institution intends to prepare the students to face the global challenges of the present world with hope and confidence.
When the college was started in 2007 it had just 11 students and at present it has the strength of 176 students. The courses offered are B.A and B.Com . In a co-education system students belonging mainly to tribal and rural areas receive education.
The agenda for developing our institution includes grass root level improvements starting from water supply system in the campus, gardening, and beautification to equipping class room teaching with ICT (information technological communication) aids and Wi-Fi facility. We are planning to upgrade the computer systems and furniture, renovate library with open access system, computerization of office and admission process. More importantly we are fostering the research activities in college by motivating the faculty members to conduct minor and major research projects.Creation of research activity environment is one of the main focuses of this proposal. Majority of the faculty members intend to pursue their PhD and involve themselves in research activities. They are also interested in taking up minor and major research project in the near future.
The college is academically active at present and plans to conduct several academic excellence programmes like seminars, workshops in the near future too.
With the introduction of new courses and combinations, the number of students seeking admission in the college has multiplied. The presence of the experienced teaching staff supported by the enthusiastic Principal has ensured the betterment of the overall results with each passing year. The college plans to introduce new courses and combinations like B.A (H.E.Jr.), B.Sc (PCM) in near future. |
