About IQAC

We are committed to provide Excellent Quality Education in Arts, Commerce, Management from the rural & backward bunch of semi-malnad region of Hassan, Karnataka. Our faculties as per UGC, University of Mysore & Government of Karnataka norms to create multidisciplinary best citizens, and to satisfy the students and parents requirements through continual improvements in “Quality of Education Services.”

Composition of IQAC

            It was established in the institution in 2002 as a Quality Sustenance measure following the guidelines of NAAC. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for Conscious, Consistent & Catalytic improvement in the academic and administrative performance of the institution. It is the central quality monitoring body of the institution. It functions under the Chairmanship of the Principal & comprises senior faculty members, representative from the local community and a student representative.

Objectives

  • To channelize all efforts & measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.
  • To works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement & sustenance.
  • Creating a student-centric atmosphere for holistic learning
  • To promote interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
  • To enhance the quality of staff by promoting and encouraging overall faculty development.
  • To enhance infrastructure for teaching-learning and administration.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices

Functions

  • Development & application of quality benchmarks/ parameters for various academic & administrative activities of the institution.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education & faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge & technology for participatory teaching & learning process.
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents & other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars, conferences, on quality related themes.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality related activities, including adoption & dissemination of best practices.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines & parameters of NAAC. To be submitted to NAAC.
  • To inculcate the culture of research among staff and student.

Strategies

            Members of the IQAC meet frequently to discuss, plan and review methodologies for quality sustenance and enhancement in overall educational and administrative activities.

IQAC will contribute in:

  • Orientation program for first year students
  • Organize parent teacher meeting regularly and on need basis.
  • Offer Diploma & Certificate courses for students as well as publics.
  • Preparing and adhering to the academic calendar as per the University guidelines.
  • Organize workshops/ seminars/ guest lectures/ conferences/ Life Skill programs/ webinars/ e-quizzes.
  • Conduct activities in tune with Government initiatives like Swachh Bharat, Village adoption program by NSS, Sadbhaavana program, Jaatha, Street play, Awareness program etc.,
  • Documentation of the activities organized by the institution.
  • National festivals celebrated and important day like Environment day, Ozone day, Voters day, Library week etc.,
  • Community contact activities are taken up through NSS, NCC, Scout & Guides, Red cross and various clubs formed by each department of the college.
