Govt. First Grade College, Chitaguppa

Problems that haunt students hinder their academic success. Students suffer from emotional disturbances ranging from unsatisfactory teaching.

  • Lack of cognitive ability
  • Lack of amenities in college
  • Lack of resources
  • Lack of guidance regarding Higher studies and career.
  • Poor relationships
  • Loneliness
  • Depression
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Addiction to drugs/alcohol
  • Failed  relationships,  and so on.

Most of the  students came from economically poor background.  Many  are  first  generation  learners.  Some among them may not have courage to approach elders around and confide in them. Thus, students who get into trouble are depressed, helpless and unable to engage in study. To address this issue, the department has taken a meaningful stand and has launched a 24 * 7 helpline for all students of government first class colleges.

The toll-free number for this helpline is 1800-425-6178. On working days, departmental staff receive training calls during the office hours. The matter is communicated by the concerned authorities to take appropriate action.

A committee has been setup in our college to look into the issues related to MYTHRI helpline with Prof Raghavendra Shetty as Convener, Mobile Phone: 8095158222
