Sport plays a central role in the physical and mental development of young people and in the maintenance of physical in a new light. Sport’s importance is being recognized and momentum is building in the use of sport to achieve broader governmental and societal goals. Mental and social health for all citizens; and, for those reasons, all levels of government, informed citizens, and health and social agencies are seeing sport.
