Government First Grade College,Arsikere which, came into being in the year 2006 under the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka and affiliated to University of Mysore with Arts and Commerce curriculum. Presently this college holds more than 217 students and offers Co-Education UG Degree courses viz, B.A. and B.Com. The College is popular due to its effective teaching and learning processes. The College owns two new buildings one is occupied and another is still in progress. Our institution has recognized under 2(f) and 12(b) from UGC. It is to be noted that the college today has a spacious campus area of 10 acres of land which is situated 3 km away from the town very close to B H Road. The NAAC team visitedthe college for assessmentfor the first time in 2017and awarded ‘B’ grade(2.09 Score on 7 point scale).  The goal of the college is to inculcate quality in every phase of learning the vision of the college is integrated development Apart from curricular programmes the college has been providing computer application, spoken English, Environments studies& Constitution of India.

The College has a very strong social capital, networking with several illustrious old students who guide the college in their own way. The last four years have fetched lakhs from the government; The money has been put to good use in developing infrastructure like labs, classroom, ladies waiting room etc. Seven teachers labour amongst the youth to inculcate the values of Arts, Commerce & Administration zeal along with socially inclusive concerns. The teachers, who describe themselves as lifelong learners, prefer the method of experience to the method of the book. The campus is a confluence of teachers with variety of skills and experiences in diverse fields, offering students abundant academic wealth.
